Eat safely

Allergens

Tell us before you order. Our kitchen handles all 14 regulated allergens, so we'd rather talk it through than guess.

Before you order

If you or anyone in your party has a food allergy or intolerance, call us before placing your order. Notes added at checkout are passed to the kitchen, but a phone call is the only way we can confirm what is safe for you on the night.

The 14 regulated allergens

UK law requires us to tell you when any of these are used as an ingredient in a dish. Every one of them is present somewhere in our kitchen:

  • Celery
  • Cereals containing gluten (wheat, barley, oats)
  • Crustaceans
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Lupin
  • Milk
  • Molluscs
  • Mustard
  • Nuts (almond, cashew, pistachio and others)
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame seeds
  • Soya
  • Sulphur dioxide and sulphites

Things worth knowing

  • Most of our curry bases contain onion, garlic and dairy. Many korma, pasanda and masala dishes contain nuts.
  • Nan breads and most starters contain gluten; plain rice dishes do not.
  • Several dishes are finished with ghee, yoghurt or cream, including some that read as vegan on the menu.

Cross-contamination

We cook to order in a single small kitchen. Nuts, gluten, dairy, mustard, sesame and fish are all used daily, and shared equipment, oil and surfaces mean we cannot guarantee any dish is free from traces of an allergen. If your allergy is severe, please speak to us so we can be honest about whether we can serve you safely.

Set meals

Set meals are chosen by the chef and change with what's fresh, so the exact dishes vary. Call ahead if you need a set meal adjusted for an allergy.
